Join the Grand Rapids Griffins in support of Kids’ Food Basket’s COVID-19 emergency response and be a part of the local solution to childhood hunger.
Kids’ Food Basket began over a decade ago by serving 125 kids each school day through its Sack Supper program and now serves nearly 8,800 kids each weekday in West Michigan.
Now, because children no longer have the safety net of school and school meals, Kids’ Food Basket is needed more than ever. From day one of the school closures, Kids’ Food Basket has been on the front line and will continue to provide evening meals, through multiple distribution locations, for the remainder of the year.
Through this initiative, Griffins players, staff, fans, and Meijer have already committed more than $5,000 to Kids’ Food Basket. Several levels of incentives are available to those who donate, including team-signed Griffins memorabilia and the chance to win a round of golf with Griffins forward Chris Terry at Egypt Valley Country Club.
